Road Quipping

We spent a long day in the car today and knew it had been too long when we started cracking up about the hay bales in the ditches along I-90 having jumped the fence, like errant livestock. All the other hay bales were resting quietly in their fields...

One more day of driving and we'll be done road tripping and camping for now; it's just as well, as we're beginning to feel out of place with our car in South Dakota where right now it is nothing but Harley Davidsons heading home from the rally at Sturgis; we also shared the road and many campgrounds and restaurants with bikers during these past two weeks. No disrespect to my Harley-owning relatives - but Walt and I were having fun thinking of what kind of things motorcycle riders might do while they're at a rally with hundreds of thousands of other bikers. Are there workshops and panel discussions?? Possible subjects could include "Head Scarf Tying For Guys and Gals," "The Ongoing Helmet Debate: To Live Or Let Die?" and "Care and Maintenance of Leather Clothing." If the bikers we've met were any indication, their general reputation for being troublemakers is completely undeserved, I have to say.
